Hello everyone, I have a question. I have designed some tools on excel spreadsheets and i was wondering if there exists a tool to publish the spreadsheet online with the input cells as text boxes. I want to retain the formatting of the spreadsheet. I searched for it on google and found a software named "Excel Everywhere" but, a.) it costs $100 (which gets too expensive for me) and b.) there is a limit on the number of functions it supports. Is there a cheaper way of doing it? Thanks to everyone in advance.
Couldn't you just use a service like Google Docs? If you want a custom one written it would be many times more than $100.
You would need to write your own script to do it. Here's some places to get started: http://www.codeplex.com/PHPExcel http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/library/os-phpexcel/index.html http://devzone.zend.com/article/3336-Reading-and-Writing-Spreadsheets-with-php
Hey Danltn and Jestep, Thanks for replying... Google docs doesnt support some of the very basic functions PLUS i cannot publish those spreadsheets for commercial purposes... and i am going through the links mentioned, i'll definitely get back when i need more help. Thanks again.
