Heavey21, are you selling something? ppc is a good start if you have a shopping cart. Btw, organic traffic from search engines is the best. Put more weight on link building and you will get targeted traffic soon. Video marketing on youtube is good in term of branding and blog commenting is good in term of level of awareness and traffic.

Why have you not added your site to your signature for a starter,digg produces some good results also.

 

first concentrate on page seo such as: Heading tags h1-h6, title or meta tags, alt tags.

Last but not least, se and social bookmarking will drive higher traffic. (Its all game of unique contents) Hope it will be help.

Follow the above rules strictly and you can reach the desired level in a few months based on the niche u have chosen and what a master you are in ur niche.

 

Create a profile in all Web 2.0 sites. Get active in those sites you've joined. When friends in your network like your site, they will spread the word about your site. Just be patient. This is hard work though.

Try getting a slot as a media comentator on TV/ radio. I often see people on breakfast TV talking about what they think of this topic and that topic and they always seem to plug their website on prime time telly and I don't think this will cost.

 

Use social bookmarking networks, CPM networks (See my signature for info) and advertise on Radio and TV stations. A Media Blitz may sound expensive, but if you look around and seperate the expesnive low-yeilding networks from the ones that produce results, then it's only a matter of time before visitors start swarming to your site.

 

I have a question for all you "knowledgeable" people who say to do things like, seo, submitting to social networks, signatures, blog commenting, and other such amateur methods repeated on this board 10,000 on a daily basis. How many daily visitors do YOU have?

Are you making enough money from this site to afford ppc at this stage or you're just wasting your money? What is the main reason you want the traffice? Sales, clicks, leads? Set a goal and follow the goal. Saying, I want 5000 visitors a day, is not good enough. Answer the question "why" and you'll be a big step closer to what you want to achieve.

You could write really good articles and then use them for article marketing. Make sure that the article that you write are unique and informative. Quality goes a long way.

someone said it! wow brought my attention to the truth. everything here is repeated. i think it would be better if people just said what they did then some results to see if they are showing..
