I am trying to decide between two phones, the iPhone and HTC Fuze. Some questions about the iPhone

    1. Can I be online and on the speaker phone at the same time?
    2. Can I open word, excel and powerpoint with the iPhone?
    3. Does the text function suck?
    4. Can I instant message while on the phone?
    5. How is the sound of the phone? I heard it was bad.

Thanks :) HTC users please chime in!

    3. I actually find the texting function really easy. Most people think they have big fingers and won't be able to complete a word. I think the touch keyboard is advanced enough though. You may want to try an iPhone in a Apple store, before buying. If you find it hard to type, it might not be for you.
    4. You can infact instant message, but you will have to have an App from the App Store. There are a few out there, the two i know of are BeeJiveIM and Palringo. Please note though, that you will have to use Internet Access, so this will use your data plan.

Me and my girl recently bought a iPhone each, around 2 months ago. For what I pay with optus ($130 AU / month) unlimited calls + texts + internet, anywhere in australia for as long as I want I would've been happy even with a sh*t phone.

But the iPhone is so advanced, and when you text it acutally begins to learn the language you speak in slang / common words you use.
