Would love to hear some opinions regarding my 6 month old social bookmarking site. I've had a great time developing it and, believe it or not, I actually enjoy keeping the spam out of it. It's a daily chore but I don't mind it at all. It's far from finished, and with only ~730 registered users, it has a long way to go. So basically, I want to know how I'm doing so far. I would like to know what you would do differently, what you would change, what you don't like, or what you do like. Good or bad, I want to know what you think. Thanks in advance!
It looks very clean and professional. Congratulations and hope you can bring the site to the next level. I like the screen shots beside each social bookmark and as I mentioned the layout of the site is good. If you don't mind sharing, I wonder whether the site is based on pligg or other turnkey scripts.
Really nice site, clean design, hard to fault. If you're after constructive criticism, the only thing I would change is the domain name.. A CVCV.com or the like.. A premium domain and the sky is the limit.. And a cool logo with a mascot. All the best
The site looks nice as far as the color scheme and the layout the only thing I would recommend is to get a professional logo.
Ah, I've been wanting a professional logo (and mascot) for sometime now. I just threw that one together from a tutorial I found online. A cvcv.com type domain would cost a lot though (I think?). I haven't put any money into the site other than the $80 I paid for hosting. Not sure that I want to pour that type of money into the site, it's mainly just a hobby for me. Anyway, thanks for the thoughts. Great to hear. +rep all around
Your site looks clean to me and design is nice too but being a logo designer i will also recommend you to design a professional logo for it as its really making your whole website really down .. Everything else looks 0k to me and just according to a social bookmark website Thanks PHYza
A professional looking logo and favicon.ico will be good. Maybe add some darker color to have some contrast.
surprisingly nice design - just a little cluttered though with the wealth of small text/links towards the top area. these sort of sites that are community-powered are hard to get off the ground though. without a very active userbase, new visitors will disregard the site as active and go elsewhere. lots of competition too... good luck
Do you guys think that I could get a good professional logo done in the contest section of DP or should I find a logo design company?
Why not doing a competition on DP? I got fantastic work done here at probably the best price you can get.
Hello, I really enjoyed looking over your website and found the majority of it to be appealing. Ultimately I don't have much to offer your criticism wise, but I would say I would have enjoyed less brighter colors. I guess when it comes down to it everyone's different though, eh ? I wish you the best of luck with your site. Regards, William
I've checked out some of the work. Wow, some serious talent in there eh? I wish I could make something half as good. I think I'll save up a bit of cash and start a contest (hopefully next month).
