Facebook ads

Has anyone tried Facebook advertising yet?

I've been fiddling with it for a while with disastrous results regardless of the target or creatives.

Facebook's targeting system seems like one of the best out there. The only problem is that people are too busy with the content to be clicking on ads.

My overall CTR throughout 8 different campaigns with highly targeted audiences was 0.04% :(

    Am I missing something here?

I'm finding that it can be effective but the clicks are rather expensive compared with the competition -

Very expensive ads, horrible conversion rate, and a wacky back-end that loves you/hates you over the most random results... I <3 Adwords ;)

I had terrible results with Facebook Ads. I've used it on 3 separate occasions because they were giving out free credit left and right. Burned through $250 in about 6 weeks, didn't get any conversions.

    Hi
I have considered facebook paid-for advertising too. I am just know sure whether type of people that frequent facebook are the right cross-section for my business. Based on what others have said I think I will hold off from facebook myself for the moment
    Best wishes
