Yesterday I was doing the biggest wash cleaning out my room, my wallet and phone were in my jeans which was in the washer on the option "SUPER WASH" heavy load. I noticed as I was moving them to the dryer the iPhone was at the bottom of the washing machine... First I panicked I was thinking of calling 911 for emergency help Then I finally realized there was no hope left I then put it in a bag of rice and put it over one of the heater vents in my house. Waited 10 hours overnight and I tried to turn it on this moring no luck... As I was going to take it apart since I figured it was toast anyway, I was holding the on button (non-intentionally) while holding it in my hand. I saw the apple logo and I said "THANK YOU GOD" NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, made calls, text message, connected to wi-fi, listened to songs on it through speakers and headphones. ITS A MIRACLE -- The only thing I have to watch is the battery life to see if thats changed any. I will post updates to this thread regarding that if anyone cares
Lol! You got lucky! I once had a phone that got soaked through - replaced it, then about 3 years later I found it and it worked ;( Wasn't as expensive as an iPhone though
$40 leather wallet ruined... I could care less about that though Phone was under wanter for 15-20 min. thats longer then phelps!
That's pretty amazing. It would have been terrible if it stopped working because iphones are so expensive.
I did this to my old k800i and it died lol. Your lucky now this post makes me want an i-phone they look wicked.
Behind the LCD it looks like water or something damaged it and its freakin bright in some parts of the screen
Its a good news that its working After a SUPER WASH Too, Would That iphone like another ride, Thats A miracle lol
lol!! I have the exact same story with my iPod. It was in my trouser's pocket and my mom washed it without checking the pockets. Heated it for 12 hours long under a 100 Watt lamp and it came alive. The speakers of the headset got damaged a bit.
