If you have hung out on this forum for a while, you probably remember the challenge that Nadav and myself had to push for the first $1000 earner in the forex niche. Well, many months later, and arriving at new techniques and methods to monetizing forex madness, I have hit the $265/day level. I am now, for 2009 looking to really push hard and do what I previously conceived as truly impossible: Push for a $1000 day on forex niche products. For most of the products out there, I would have to push on average 11-15 sales a day, which right now, I have reached 4 sales as a peak. This means I would have to either maximize my current efforts, or possibly leverage in PPC or outsource for my marketing campaigns. You think there is a strong probability for an affiliate to make $1000? Let s put this to the test! In the meanwhile, I have been working on a forex EA and companion ebook to be released in the very near future. Yes, I have decided to jump into the Forex niche bandwagon and launch some of my own mayhem in the products end. I will get more into this shortly, but Just wanted for everybody who has been doing the forex niche thing, to give you guys a heads up. Tom Howell TheForexGuy
Almost $300/day, that's great So currently you are using free methods to promote forex stuff? Articles? SEO sites?
the only thing that costs me, is my time! I am using quite a bit of SEO skillz that I acquire here and there.
Those are excellent results, especially using only free (seo) techniques. Would you mind expanding a little on some of your methods? I assume you're driving traffic to your blog with the use of articles. Are you using Squidoo, Ezine...ect? Any pointers/tips would really be appreciated.
teapoint, Have been the forex community since Summer of 2006. Had started a chatroom community and a forex blog, which right now, is undergoing some content planning changes. I have knowledge in forex terminology, oscillators, indicators, and know the inner and outer workings on expert advisor systems. Raycer, As of very recently, blogs were one of the strategies that I have used. Writing heaps of articles not as much as I used to, but now I tend to work on linkbuilding and minisite development. The key aspect that my philosophy has been in internet marketing, is traffic. You can write a pretty article or have a landing page and be done with it. But if you do not have any traffic, then you are going to go nowhere fast.
But you don't actually trade forex for profit? What's your product going to be about then? People are only interested in making money.
Teapoint, The product is going to be based on a successfully tested and configured trading strategy. A system that I would not let go into the general public unless I can see profitability. For some of the currency trading programs out there, they just want to ride coat-tails and throw just a moving average cross trigger and a weighted lot system. What your concern is, is that I will not have a product that will not deliver. I have traded forex, but not on a super large scale. Believe it or not, alot of the publishers end up partnering with programmers that have way less experience then me (I am a programmer and forex trader COMBINED!) and I am amazed with how much of a success they have been! Maybe someone with a little bit more knowledge and a sense of the game of forex could maybe build a better system.
That sounds fair enough, but what are you going to write in your salespage? "My system is great, I can really SEE it's profitability". I'm just sayin, maybe you should focus more on trading forex for profit, then release a system that you are actually profiting from, rather than something that will work in theory. This approach has many more advantages than just developing something that is theoretically successful; you'll be able to honestly say you're making money from it, you'll be able to build a good reputation for yourself, your customers will profit from it, and it will be worth a whole lot more - and I'm talking thousands here. In my opinion there are too many people in the MMO and Forex niches that are just selling BS wrapped up in an over-hyped sales page, please don't be one of those people, contribute something valuable to the internet economy.
I like you. You're one of the few with the sense to use a content based site/blog to promote products
Sorry to say this, but I wouldn't go for Forex. I think there is something strange happening with the currencies - e.g. I can't believe how quickly and rapidly the British pound has became weak and I really don't understand why. But of course maybe your technique will work and I wish you that it works for you. I have no idea what strategy are you planning... Good luck anyway!
I would be interested to know when the product is ready. I would like to see you set up beta testers and put your method to the test.
You hit the nail on the head, there are too many useless forex products created by people that dont know anything about forex... lets try to make something usefull and not just something to make some quick sales that will result in refunds like the rest....
Peter Bains course is hands down the most bang for your buck in my opinion if you really want to learn to trade. I know you don't know me from Adam but this is coming from someone who has traded the FX market for 5 years and having bought a lot of courses, in the end you just need to understand the fundamentals and technical aspect..... and eventually develop a trading system that fits your trading style and time frame.
I agree with the earlier post that you really shouldn't put a product out that's based on watching rather than doing. If Forex works well it should replace your current $200 a day from forex sales. But still kudos for your tenacity and for having a go. Forex or real estate or shares. We could give 1000 people the key to the safe and only 5 would know how to use the key properly or try it long enough.
