Mayoor Patel Is A Scammer | He Ripped Me Off $300

Discussion in 'General Business' started by Lord Hades, Jan 3, 2009.

Just a warning to all the DigitalPoint members not to deal with Mayoor Patel (DP username: Mayoor)

    His personal website is http://www.mayoor.co.uk.

He was selling a Sidereel bot on DP and I got royally ripped off. Basically, he claimed that the bot would auto-add our links to Sidereel and he was selling it for $250.

He had almost no iTrader or rep but his sales pitch and the manner in which he handled queries were fairly professional so I made the leap. (how I regret it now!)

I added him on MSN and we got talking. We agreed that for $300, he would sell me the script and personally coach me on his method to monetize the Sidereel traffic. I also asked for support to get the script working and a moneyback guarantee if the script doesn't work.

He sent me the script via email but it did not work. I emailed him and he asked me to give him 2-3 days. I emailed him after 2-3 days and never received a response. After a week, I emailed him again asking for a refund and still no response.

However, DP shows he has been online.

    What a scammer!

Sorry for your lost but iTrader and reputation do play their part here in DP especially when you're dealing with high amount of money.

Nothing you can do here if he keep ignoring you except leave him a -ve iTrader in hope other members will notice he is scamming people.

Yeah, I surely will be. By the way, I managed to trace his phone no. and address too. However, he lives in the UK and I live in India. I called him up but got his voicemail. What further action can I take?

Actually $300, since it was $250 + $50 for the coaching (which never even took place)

That sucks, you should not have paid 100% upfront as he had no iTrader. But nothing can be done now, file a PayPal case but I don't think it will go yuor way. Just be careful now on...good luck!

I think the thing to remember is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, especially when it's coming from someone who's a noob. I can see exactly why you fell into the trap, especially if he was professional, but you should always seek review copies or see testimonials from REAL people before you buy something.

Anyway, sorry for your loss.

just to be fair. Mayoor's script worked before sidereel started locking pages. so when did he sell you his script? I thought he stopped selling it in Oct when sidereel was still not locking pages.

He sold me my copy sometime in November, I think. I uploaded the file and inspite of using a perfect csv input file, it didn't work. Were you a customer of his too? Are you still able to contact him?

I am not a customer but I know somebody who was. the script worked fine at the time. However, he should not have sold it to you in Nov as Sidereel was already locked at that time so he should refund you your money.

Too bad for scammers like this.
