Main Page Post Summary Option

    Can you set all the themes to only show bits of the posts on the main page? I quite haven't figured out how to set that up yet! :D
    Can someone help me?

    post excerpt must be defined in the theme to be used, if you set it up in your posts and dont use it in the theme coding its useless, the theme must be built to show exerpts of the posts, you cant do it ona theme wide base.
