    Okay so I have started a new website. I am new to all this SEO stuff. My site did go from Pr0 to Pr4 this update. It is just one month old.

    The thing is where would I go about getting one way links from?
    My site is http://www.yeastmoney.com

    I know I can do it on blogs but most are not do follow links.

    Getting one way backlinks is very hard, but with constant effort you can be successful.

    get a one way backlink from this directory if you have a technology site http://forevergeeks.com/directory

    Yes but social media sites and directories are not good links. How do you get the attention of other bloggers and such?

    that really depends where you are getting the links from. social sites like squidoo/hubpages will give you high quality links. so will some good quality niche seo friendly directories

    Ahh well, I was just wanting to find out more places to get backlinks. Some sites have like 160,000 back links.

    I know how I got Pr4 in a month and I bet next update I can have pr5 or pr6 if I try harder.

    Google updates Pr every 2 months right?

    Free Pr6 links are awesome.....(that is how I did it probably along with unique content).

    Google updates PR every quarter, so every 3-4 months. Also, if you want to get in contact with bloggers, just contact them directly when you have a related post they might be able to use.

    Most of my back links are coming from forum posting and blog commenting. I am also getting some on contest.
