    Hello.
I was just wondering why people get an infraction for asking WHY they got an infraction.

I know its against the rules to COMPLAIN about an infraction.

    Examples:

    WHY:
'I posted this (post link) and got an infraction, what did i do wrong?'
To me this is not a complaint but a question from the OP as to what they did wrong.

    COMPLAINT:
'I posted this (post link) and got an infraction, its not fair, i shouldnt get an infraction for this, remove it now .... '
    This is a complaint.

So my question is what is DP's definition of a complaint? and what is wrong with people trying to find out the reason for the infraction. I know you get an email telling you but these are not always clear.
Below is 1 of my infractions:
Apr 4th 2008 5:09 pm Stop crying please!

Also why does a certain amount of members then feel it necessary to start posting comments and giving -'ve reps?

Below is some of my reps:

    Apr 21st 2008 7:50 pm LOSER!
Apr 4th 2008 9:11 pm Boo fuckity hoo
    Apr 4th 2008 6:09 pm hahahaha

(here come the infractions and stupid rep comments)

This kind of behaviour ruins an otherwise reasonable forum.

Complaining about infractions is posting a thread about them.

Instead, PM a moderator to ask about it.

There's never really an appropriate time to post a thread about an infraction. If you have questions, first review the infraction email you got (which will let you know what post got the infraction), and then spend some time reviewing the rules and stickies. We don't have the time to go over why self-explanatory infractions were given, and things are generally spelled out pretty thoroughly in the stickies. If you do that, and you still don't understand the infraction, you should PM a mod and not post about it.

As for negative reps - they're completely unmoderated. If you don't want to see them, minimize that section of your usercp.
