Nice, you should see an influx of traffic to your niche sites and hopefully a sale or two over the next few days.
I agree, EZA seems to hit the SERPS a day or two after submission and lasts a few days there. Funny you should say that, I just woke up and checked the stats and one sale so far for $25. Total articles submitted to date = 61. Total income to date (to nearest $) = $25.
That's what I hate about article marketing...but sometimes articles come back and stay for long time. So weird
You are right about the "approvers". They have some sorry reasons for not approving articles at times. Well, hang in there... I know you will do well. HAPPY NEW YEAR !
20 more articles done today, phew! Total articles submitted to date = 81. Total income to date (to nearest $) = $25. Nearly half way there.....
thanks AJ, I should remind those who are not familiar with EZA traffic is that it usually peaks somewhere between 0 and 5 days after submission and then tails off. Some niches it tails off slowly, others extremely quickly. This is my experience anyway.
Appreciate the updates. Do you use searchwarp, I use it pretty often and seem to always get a top 5 listing in google for my articles within a day or two, (at least the ones that aren't rediculously competitive, what other article directories are you using,
This is an interesting experiment. I hope to really clean up with it. It definitely sounds like a plan that should make a lot of money. Steven
It takes time to see sales roll in, even from 500 - 600 articles. Articles hit the SERPs (if they do) in 24 - 48 hours, but they always tend to drop. Linking from one or more blogs to the ezine article is a great way to keep them up in the search results. You do need time for the link building process but it pays off. In my opinion all google wants is relevant/quality links from blogs or sites. Quality has always overtaken quantity. From my experience the number of links doesn't matter, even more.. lots of non-relevant/crappy links might also affect the search engine traffic. I can bet people had the same experience when they just started off. Here's a great tutorial you can follow: 1. Build one affiliate site - If you don't know how then QUIT or learn more. Post 5 - 10 articles, don't forget to include long tail keywords. Optimize meta descriptions and tags. Well designed affiliate sites do convert a lot better, use your imagination here, it's the only one that helps. 2. Outsource/Write 50 articles. The same goes here, include the keywords appropriately. (In the title, introduction, body and summary. (You should get search engine traffic right after the articles get approved). Do not submit the same articles in hundreds of other directories, that will get your site banned right away from the search results. (most article directories have no real value anyway, except for BUM marketers). And think about it, no one is going to pick one of your article if it's junk. If you want to use the bum method then outsource some quality/stunning articles. 3. Some sales should roll in from the EZA articles alone. 4. Research long tail keywords (300-1200 monthly searches) and hyperlink them in your EZA bio-box. Don't rush for 10 keywords focus on one or two for the moment. 5. Once you are indexed you should see more sales coming in, if the keywords you used have been chosen correctly and google indexed your site. 6. Meanwhile bookmark the blog articles only to the major social bookmarking sites. (some sales might come from social media traffic aswell). Digg, Stumble, Delicious and Propeller are my favorite. 7. Build 5 Squidoo lenses and 5 Hubpages (you can also use blogger.com) to link your landing page to. (Don't link to the affiliate website, you are looking to grow your site in the search results, remember). Bookmark the Squidoo/Hubpages to the main bookmarking sites. 8. One rule is to use unique and quality content, there is no much need to spread duplicate/junk content, you'll see no traffic or sales. If you aren't able to write articles yourself, then outsource, it's the only way to do it. 9. This method has earned me some money, obviously I'm not rich. But duplicating the whole process might make your dreams come true. 10. Time is a must.
+Rep, very useful, nicely laid out post, thanks. Squidoo can be very powerful, I remember one lens I made ranked first page in Google after just a couple of hours passed since creating it. The key is to target keywords which have low competition with quotation marks around them, ie if you're thinking of targetting the keyword 'dog training', then you should first do a Google search for "dog training" to see what real competition you face.
10 more articles today: Total articles submitted to date = 91. Total income to date (to nearest $) = $25. I am realising that some niches are more boring to write for than others!
How can you write over 90 articles on a few different niches in a few days? Either my brain would leak out of my ears or I would go insane. Keep up the good work
Thanks man, tell me about it. My brain is already rotting. I am tempted to take a small breather and report back on the sales in a few weeks time. I have big plans to write 4 products incl. sales pages (yes 4 products!) this month. I need to update and schedule posts for my content sites first as I've been neglecting them. I'm tempted to start on them now and maybe return for a small bash, 90 more articles in a couple of weeks..........
How do you keep motivated? I'd never be able to stay motivated enought to write 30 articles in one day.
Tell me about it I've only averaged about 15 a day so far. Even that seems tough. It does help a lot to write for several niches. Writing 15-30 a day on one niche would get depressing. I know a guy who did nothing but write articles for an entire month!
It would make sense to do it, if the articles would definitely hit the top for particular longtails, but since it's a "hit and miss" game, it's not really worth writing so many articles daily.
Great idea, I am going to be starting a few experiments of my own in a couple of days once I'm done with my university finals. Will be following this thread.
hey so we know how many articles u have and know how many sales u have had but how much traffic have u seen. How many uniques. And have u tested where your articles have been showing in the engines
