Has your Amazon conversion rate dropped?

Discussion in 'Amazon' started by bob25, Dec 27, 2008.

Amazon used to link where you could just click to see the price, but they changed it so now you need to add it to your shopping cart first before you get to see the price.

My conversion rates have dropped dramatically. Have you noticed any difference?

    Thanks

I think it's just for sale items. My CR went up quite a bit for the holidays; but it was mostly luck I think.

Everything tanks the last 2 weeks of December.
Take a break, work on your SEO, and you'll start to feel better in mid-January if you're lucky.
Look around in the other forums. You ain't the only one suffering.

No, it didn't. I think depends on what you sells. Our sites have a lot of products and in Christmas time selling increases.

Yeah I agree pre-Christmas and post-Christmas sales causes swings in sales, but that kind of coincided with Amazon changing the way to view the prices in TVs at least.

Now you need to add it to your shopping cart before getting to view the price. If it were me I'd rather see the price before adding it my shopping cart.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Hi
I don't think so. My conversion rate has been picked up again at the 4th of December.
Only Christmas holidays my conversion rate sightly dropped. Now everything is ok!

I've no sales on the day before Christmas, on Christmas, and on the day after Christmas.

The rest of the month is healthy.
