I didn't see an adware disclosure anywhere and when i read their FAQs it says it dosen't include adware of any kind. And i don't know - there may not be a legal requirement for disclosure. Lots of applications like yahoo mail, gmail and weather bug are not frowned upon and provide a great service and yet they have to be classified as containing adware too.
I don't mind adware it's when it becomes aggressive and unethical is when I don't like it, small banners on AIM and MSN are not to bad because it's free and somethings got to pay the bandwidth bills, so if it keeps it free and isn't in your face I can deal with it.
Hidden adware is unethical and just plain wrong. Most of the software on that list is poorly written. And as a result will crash the victims computers. And ICQ is not adware. Neither is gamespy arcade. Real player is not adware. Limewire is not adware. Weather bug is not adware.
many times the ads are not recognized or overlooked by the web users, but rest assured all these applications have a way of displaying ads and thus are adware, even though some adware is indeed more intrusive than others
