Am i alone in this but Isnt Google Adsense The Greatest Invention, EVER !

How else on this planet can one get paid if someone clicks a simple few words on a screen. We must thank the Google Boys today..

thanks adwords too..for without adwords there is no adsense

 

It is pretty awesome. I've made enough since the program started (2003) to buy a house!

When folks ask me how I make money... it is always a very awkward conversation.

Me: "Well you see I have a website and I make money from advertising".
Folks: "Oh, so you sell ads to companies".
Me: "Well not really, Google sells the ads".
Folks: "Oh, so you sell ads to Google, work with the marketing folks, etc?"
Me: "Well not really. Google takes care of all that. I just give them a cut of the revenues".
Folks: "So what actually do you do?"
Me: "I sell advertising..."
Folks: Nevermind.

That is a sticky situation. Many think it is a scam when i also try to explain it yet they have been online longer than i

 

Google run the number one search engine (70% market share), the best ppc program and I believe the best blogging platform as well. May the success continue in 2009.

 

Well Adsense is definitely awesome but I would think that the wheel was the "greatest invention ever" just imagine what you'd do if the wheel was never invented

It is only really as good as the profit it makes you... so yep its good.

Excellent, another one brainwashed by Google. Adsense is bordering on a scam, but hey who am i to argue if you want to send your visitors away for pennies when you can get much more with other programs.

Adsense is great... if you are brain dead and don't realize how badly you are being ripped off.

Yep it is the biggest invention ever....for google's company.
Adsense is the best example how those services' only goal is to make the rich even more rich while half of the planet is starving...well, what can i say? I dont see much difference from adsense and corrupt bank owners...

 

I would just tell them I advertise websites for companies lol, much easier.
