This is with my personal experience that now the purchases online have gone down tremendously as majority of online purchases were from USA and USA Customers have now stopped or reduced the quantity of purchases online. Being an online store owner myself.. it is really very painfull for both USA people and Indians who were largely depended on US Customers to buy their products that the USA is facing a financial crisis. But I still hope that online purchases will improve sooner or later if there is a little stability with the financial status in USA. I would like share few ideas that I think might be good for the store owners who may be facing the heat. 1) Price reductions - consider reducing your product prices and earn little for now so atleast you can survive this period of global financial crisis. 2) Offers and Sale - If you are not keen to reduce the product prices then you consider giving good offers that no one matches so atleast it gives you a chances of being on top list for online purchases. 3) FREE Products - Offer free products along with purchases that may be little pinch on your earnings but that also will help you survive. 4) Tips - try to offer tips and tricks to cut the bills and how you are helping them to do so with your prices being slashed. Above all be ready to face the heat for few more months unless and until the stability comes back in the US Financial Industry. People all around the world are now holding their funds and purchasing only the necessities and not much of luxuries as they do when the financial condition is on higher side. I know a lot of people who still prefer to buy at online stores because it is tax free, and most online stores offer free shipments. Your suggestions would encourage them to continue buying at online stores. And maybe I can add, widen the product selection and you may also include the necessities that you think the people would buy.
