Ok, I understand your point about not sharing keywords, I never thought of that.
Although I think your BIN is way too high and thats scared off bidders, as you know, typically sites go for about 6-12 times month revenue and with a severe recession looming ad revenue will be dropping as no one will be buying.

Yes, 8 years old. The site was actually registered in 1999 if you query dnscoop.com. It previously belonged to a band, but I have transformed it into a profit making website related to web hosting.

I know due to recession, setting the price at 24 multiples will scare off some bidders, but I'm not ready to sell the website for only 12x profit, especially since profit keeps increasing (this month, projected adsense money is $150).

Additionally, the site's value comes from its simplicity, easy maintenance (one article a month), custom designed search engine optimization, and continued potential. Any increase in organic traffic means correlative increase in profit.

I have a site that makes $300 a month from Adsense and I don't do any promotion on it... and I thought I could sell it for around 3k.... and here you are, selling a site that makes 100 or less a month for 3600. hahaha.

 

There are large click exchange groups on web, and all members continously exchange their contact lists. Its simple.. u click on their ads and they click urs..
I know people who make more than $300 per month from adsense exchanging clicks.
Is hard for google to detect such groups, as they continuosly keep expanding and members take many precautionary measures..

SeekingU, I have no promotion policy. The site makes as much as it does due to onsite and offsite search engine (specifically google) optimization. I do not advertise the site specifically, though I do put it in my signatures and such on forums and when I visit blogs. Traffic from this though is minimal, and a majority of the traffic is from Google - that's why site traffic does not fluctuate much.

While you may think that would, an educated SEO webmaster would know that it wouldn't work for a long period of time. What would happen in that situation is that the person whose ads get just "clicked" would get smartpriced ... as happens to people who have blogs with a lot of social media traffic. That traffic, as well as the exchange traffic, would click but not purchase from the advertisers.

Google isn't stupid. They protect their advertisers because that's how they make their money...so all of a sudden each click is now worth 5cents. If my site had a 5 cent cpc, I'd make less than 30$ a month. The site has currently been making 120-150$/month for the last 3 months.

 

Wow old thread why didnt you sell it for $1600? I think that is gold for the site.

I haven't sold it for $1600 because it's worth $2400. If nobody else thinks so, I guess I'll just settle for the monthly adsense, which is fine.
