just so you know I got my .info to the front page of google for my keyword in the first week. So I guess that proves that google dont discount them.

TLD is a TLD in googles eyes... Doesn't matter if it's .info .com .net they're all the same..

I have always wondered, why are .info's cheaper then the rest? Like 1 third of teh more commercially used extensions.

I think no difference between .info, .com results. results is depending on computation and your work.

It is not the domain extension that matter, but it is the keywords use in the domain itself that will effect the ranking of a website in a search engine.

.com's, as you build your site name, it will be stronger than any other extension. use google and type any big business name, and the results will start with a .com.

.com looks more professional. Apart from that there are no differences.

.com represents commercial sites or general sites, where as .info sites are for only information.

i have a .info adult blog with PR2

it is well indexed in google and making $$$ per month easily!

so .info arent inferior to any other tlds

all tlds are of same priority.

factually, yes! google for ".info domains for development" and read some of the stories (i don't remember which link though, sry) but you'll have to work harder than you do for a .com domain and if your content is really unique you can earn some dough... if your .info domain has a name relevant to your content and provides something useful (like http://prchecker.info/), then you have chances of even making it to the front page

.info's are just tough to get started with on Google, once the site builds up some authority there is no problem.

a domain extension doesn't affect the SEO. Just get a lot of back links to it so that it would rank good.
