Hi everyone, just put together my media kit for my website. I was wondering if you guys could take a look at it and give me some feedback. It's a powerpoint file hosted on my website. Thanks, -Chris http://www.course-notes.org/files/Course-Notes.Org Media Kit 2009.ppt
The page is real slow in opening, and I have high speed. Many will log back off again. I almost did. It's a bit difficult to scroll down, like a normal page. A user has to fight with it a little bit. Perhaps turn it into a normal page site? Perhaps break it up into several pages so it is faster to download?
Hmmm... I converted it to a PDF file and it didn't reduce the file size all that much. It's down to 3 megs now. Hopefully that won't burden you're cable/dsl lines too badly.. http://www.course-notes.org/files/Course-Notes.Org Media Kit 2009.pdf
I cleaned out my cookies and deleted my files and offline content and went back in again. It is much better! I'm an advertiser myself, and I really like it. But why have it in that file? Why not in your site, and just give them the page's url??? It is put together very well, it's sharp, it's clear, and it's very professional looking. It's one of the best cards I have seen yet, and if your site was more along my lines, it would sway me in e-mailing you. Good job.
Thanks for the feedback. I definitely plan on placing a version of this on my website. I'll probably optimize it for the search engines for phrases like 'teen advertising'
It doesn't any more. *shrugs shoulders* I don't know, maybe there was a glitch. Watch your bounce rate, CLKeenan. If they leave in less than, say, 45 seconds, clean out your cookies and download it again to time it. I went back in yet again. All's cool.
I just got a blank page and I think this thread should be in the Review section instead of General Marketing section of the forums.
A quick suggestion for improvement. Make introduction more appealing and simplify. Example first page: Course-Notes.Org reaches over 350,000 unique visitors each month. And a oneliner: "Whats in it for the customer" Try to shorten text in the rest of the bullet points //JD
please don't waste your time on the rich jerk free site after all the info you take you time to put in theres a 197.00 fee and a place to put your credit card # Card Number:* (our system will detect card type automatically) Expiration Date on Card:* (please enter like this: mmyy) Card ID/CVV2:* (what is this?) ya, thats him on the top right of your page don't understand why this forum lets such people rip off it's members.
I checked the powerpoint (not pdf), and to me it looked fine. Indeed it's bit large, but otherwise it's cool. Nothing to complain. Whadda heck are you talking about?
