$150 Flyer/Letterhead contest - Paid via Paypal

Hey Everybody,

I have a client looking for a flyer/letterhead to promote an incentive trip to Las Vegas for thier salespeople. They are hoping to roll out the incentive trip to thier staff on Monday Jan 5th, so this will be a short contest. I convinced them to offer the $150 to spur entries to review.

They are looking for an 8 1/2x11 flyer/letter with a retro feel. Think of Rat Pack, 40s and 50s Vegas, cool earthtone colors. Muted so the graphic doesn't detract from the text. (perhaps sepia or halftone)

The layout should allow for plenty of white space to add details about the incentive trip (we will add the text later). I've attached the company logo which must be included in the flyer.

Drafts must be to me by 10:00pm Sunday Dec 28th, 2008 (EST). I will share them with our client Monday morning. I will post thier feedback that afternoon. You will then have until 10:00pm Wed Dec 31st, 2008 (EST) to submit revisions. I will also provide feedback during the weekend.

Hi velnius,

Good submission. A couple of ideas to help tweek the flyer.

The colors are probably too dark and the images on the sides overshadows the piece. I would lighten it up some. How about this:

a) keep the top montage graphic image. Also, keep the Matrix logo in the same place but restore its orginal color scheme.

b) remove the background brown shading and the vine graphics on the two sides. Change the color of the top graphic to match the blue of the martix logo but in a halftone with it fading into the white background of the rest of the page.

I think this makes it lighter and opens up the page for us to add text to the flyer. As you currently have the text space is a bit condensed. I hope my suggestions are helpful. Please let me know if you need any addition information.

Hey everyone. I met with my client on Monday for them to review the designs. They liked a couple of them really well but want to get thier CEO's feedback before picking one. He is skiing out west this week but as soon as they hear back from him they will let me know. I will post here as soon as I know. Have a good New Years!
