I do wonder how safe it is to sell on ebay. I have heard that selling a site using ebay and paypal can be sketchy.

We have sold MANY MANY websites on Ebay over the last 5 years or so .... Several years ago the prices we used to get were very good averaging $600 - $1500 per website ... (note, we used to create custom website from the ground up that were of very high quality) ...

However, since February of 2008 we saw a 50% drop in sales (final auction prices) ... I'm thinking this is due to various factors including the poor economy and many users abandoning ebay due to fee hikes.

it is worth 10x however much money it takes a month

some sites value websites for you (eg www.dnscoop.com) but these hugely overvalue your site, and you will find no-one will actually buy at this price.

Most of the sites for sale on eBay are pure junk. Stick with sitepoint if you have quality or if you're looking for quality.
