As long as you're not fooling your visitors into clicking the ads, then it's fine :)

Yes, ad directly below title will mislead visitor to think that the ad is the content, and is against TOS.

Insert the text "Advertisement" between title and advertisement.
    You should be fine.

Try not to place too close to each other. Having a little of space would be fine.

Below the title, have some contents and then follow it with ads. Here you need not have the caption "sponsored links" but placing the ads right below the title is against the TOS because it will mislead the visitors to click the ads inadvertently...

Is it OK if you have it in this style? (not my site, so don't think I'm spamming it ;)) Sort of to the left of the content. I mean, if I was visiting, it would be obvious to me that it was an advert, but is it against the TOS?

Rather putting below post title and taking risk, why don't you mix it with your conent.

For example, you are suggested to visit www.senserely.com and open any article. This is also AdSense revenue sharing site.

Just put a separator under your headline, that will be fine. Don't use headlines that can be misleading.

Example of a misleading headline: "Best Sites To Buy A Car Below"

Example of a headline that is fine: "Studies Have Shown A Drop In Car Sales Last Quarter 2008"

No I think its fine, you just can't have images with arrows pointing to the ads and text telling the visitor to click them. Make sure you don't confuse them to much, because Google might get on your case.

Strictly speaking, it is against TOS but I have seen many sites displaying ads in this manner. BTW, I was simply amazed by the quality of the contents in the site :p

Thanks again for the info :) LOL, like I said it's not my site, that's the demo for the theme I'm using. If I were to do it in the same position as the site I mentioned above, but changed the colour of the adverts and put a border round it so it was more clear, would this then be OK?

As long as you're using some space in between the two, it's fine.
