Are Arcade sites worth while?

Hi,
I'm considering to buy/start an Arcade site.
Prices for the software are going down...

Did any of you experiance these sites or owned it?
How good is it to pull in Adsense revenue?
How easy is it to market them?

Any advice?

 

Adsense has never been a solid performer on arcade sites in my experience.

 

The arcade market is big, but it's becoming congested fast.

Unless you have the cash to market it, I'd stear clear.

I own one arcade site and i think it gave me fair revenue from adsense, The only thing is you can market it through word of mouth. Email to your friends and post group messages and i think your site may become popular in a month or two...
but you shuold have really good design i think and some good games unique games to attract visitors as well as try to start competition and somethng like that , i think it may really help

I think a arcade is a nice addition to a website (gives people something else to come back for) Not sure if it is worth while having a arcade as your main website.

 

Yes - that's what I figured...
I'll add an arcade to my My-Arena.com site (myspace clone) as a nice bonus to the members for starters and see how it goes.

BTW - green stuff added for you for helping out as well.

 

I was thinking of making an arcade website. A friend of mine made one and it did quite well for a while.
