Other than participating in relevant forums, what are good ways to build links? Please list some good sites where one can submit links and get good results (feel free to share your personal experience). Is it better to go with free directories with backlinks or paid directories?

    Hey Rajib

The methods of link building can be as follows:
    1. Directory Submissions.
    2. Article Submissions.
    3. Blog Postings.
    4. Press Releases
    5. Forum Posting Signatures.

Well I believe you should use most of them if not all (in a moderate manner) to get links.

Of course you have tools (read automated softwares) which do submissions for you to generate backlinks. But I would warn you against using them as these, automatic that they are, submit to all kinds of directories and other link sources which might be spammy in nature, in turn harming your website.

I would recommend a manual submission service for the simple reason that most of them are manually reviewed by the service provider and your website is categorized under the most relevant category.

There are many service providers who offer these services at very nominal prices.

Now for a source for SEO friendly directories you can check the list here at Directory Critic: http://www.directorycritic.com/ or another good source can be http://www.directorymaximizer.com/seo-friendly-directories.php

    Hope it will help;)

When it comes to press releases, which sites do you often use? Please educate me on both free and non-free ones. Thank you.
