Though the directory submission cannot contribute a big value to your PR update I think still its a good practice.

With the exception of Yahoo!, I don't think most paid directories are worth the money. Years ago, this would really prop you up, but nowadays it makes less and less of a difference. Yahoo inclusion, however is still very effective.

I really wouldnt submit to a paid or free directory. Its not 1995 anymore. Not only will it most likely not help, but it could actually do some damage.

There are so many FREE website link directories all over the internet.
I have my website directory as paid to help prevent spam submissions and to make sure that all data there is accurate and true...

I would only recommend using them, if they had a good PR on the links page... (Not just the homepage)

Digg, Mixx, and free directories. Buy links in relevant websites. And you will do nice.

Yahoo Directory helps a lot your PR and SEPR as the feedback says, I never tried It personally.

Paid directories tend to be promoted more than free ones, and therefore chances are that you'd get more ''link juice" and traffic from 'em.

It all depends on the web directory. If the web directory has high PR and some traffic, it is worth it.
