Penalty for USA, good ranking from other countries

I have old site (2 years)
for example I take 10 top queries for this site
2 of 10 this queries I can find from ALL countries
but other 8 for USA are invisible - 200-300 positions

I think it's penalty for this queries..
How to improve ranking for this 8 queries for USA???

I have sites which have similar issues. For me there is no penalty, it is simply that the sites are .co.uk sites. I seem to be able to make these do well in most countries but not in the US.

 

but my site is .com and backlinks from many sites in english from usa, europe and other countries..

 

Since you did not give us the keywords, we cannot check properly and help out. However it could be many reasons:

1. There is much more competition for the keywords not ranking for;
2. You don't have enough quality links originating from the country you want to rank in;
3. Maybe trying to rank for keywords not closely associated with website content;

Could be million things, with this little info ... sorry.

 

I think Google uses multiple factors to determine where a site is relevant to. They're probably going to look at where the websites are hosted, wjere the links are coming in from, and anything location-specific that is inside the content.

Maybe your competition got some links from very US sites with huge pagerank - .gov, or .edu or something I don't know. I wouldn't say its a penalty, just keep working at it as long as you see some kind of improvement

are you talking about Google.com global or specifically in the US?

yes it helps when any sites have penalties

content is 99% relevant with keywords

yes, you're right, but different may be in 10-30 positions, but not in 200-300 positions...
