How long can you go for without any sleep?

    I know there are some people who try this out,
    but personally I've never intentionally tested
    myself to see how long I can last.

    The longest I've gone without sleep is 2 days -
    48 hours. And that's mostly from going out all
    night and having something on the next day as well
    or just having a long 24-hr flight (I can never sleep on planes)
    and as soon as I land I have something on for the day.

    But 48 hours seems okay by me, I don't get very tired.

    However, I haven't done that for a while, so don't know
    if I'm fit enough to do the same now.

    How about you?

    What's the longest you've gone without any sleep?

    i went 4 days 1 time was kinda messed up and i kept spacing out when people were talking to me but yeah
    took alot of caffeine and a few no doz pills :)

    im normal,, i mean i can stay up for 18 hours then i ll have to sleep...without having a coffee ofcourse

    I can't stay live without sleep. My longest going without sleep is about 30 hours ? But my longest sleep is 24 hours (seriously) :)

    I have gone for around 36 hours straight without sleep. That was during my final exams. ;)

    without sleep is 20 hours.

    Other than considering lack of food/water or other random things, I wouldn't say it's bad for you. If your body will let you sleep that long, I'd say it's alright. You would be awful hungry once woken up though!

    Longest I've gone without sleeping is about 50 hours, I could have gone longer, but my sanity was loosing grip and I needed rest! :rolleyes:

    I can do 24 hours no problem but max is probably 48 hours.
    Used to have some long weekends back when I was a raver in the 90s lol!

    I can stay up for about 22 hours, but I'm really tired the next day. That's with only 2 hours of sleep though.

    2.5 days is probably the most I have gone without sleep. Any longer and you just feel seedy.

    2 days when I'm finishing my last year project when still studying in my local university.

    After that, I slept almost 24 hours. :D
