I have been asked to make a couple business pages in myspace and facebook. I have no clue what to charge. PLease help Thanks Brandon
In my experience i'd say $10.00 - $15.00 a page. If it's very time consuming or graphically involved, go a little higher.
It depends on how much talent and experience you bring to the table and how long the project will take. If you are very experienced and skilled, you can charge a higher price. If you are inexperienced, you'll need to charge accordingly. Why not network with other providers to get a range?
The market price is around $50/page for web 2.0 kind of webpage. While its a bit lower for normal kind of webpage such as $20/page
That is from the provider/ supplier/ seller perspective i.e. you charge what you are worth While that is nice in a perfect world/ perfect market- that usually is the exception rather than the rule. As with the offline business world, the market/customer/ buyer most of the time dictates the market pricing
Charge what your time is worth. Unless of course you are desperate to get the money, then consider reducing that figure a little.
Do you have any sample works so we can get a view on your talent? It will be easier to say a price. Some designs might be worth no more than $5, while others can raise hundreds.
I disagree. While this method will exclude you from working with some buyers, if you find your market you can charge what you deserve. There are many interested clients that I don't work with because they can't afford me. There are also many clients that I do work with because they can. I don't change my prices to get clients, I find clients who happily pay my fees.
Base it on your time. Be realistic with yourself. How much time is it going to take you to complete it? Then estimate how much your time is worth. A lot of it depends on how many features and things they are wanting. If it is simple, then the price tag for it should be rather simple too.
As I said your route will be the exception rather the rule. I am talking abt general market, not exceptions
That makes me sad to think that the rule may be to take whatever someone will give you. That's not to say that you can't find a way to price yourself out of every market (you really are only worth what someone is willing to pay), but for people who price according to their skill to just bend to the will of Market A instead of seeking out Market B or C which will pay your price, that's sad.
What do you mean by "make"? You should charge about $20 to register and create the page. That is if you mean "open" when you write "make". If you are referring to actually designing a myspace page, we would then need to know if you are styling the page or making a div overlay. If you know your CSS well you should charge about $80 to style the page. Do they want you to write up the content as well? Then charge about $125. Do they want one of those myspace sites that don't have all the default modules and look completely different? Well you can charge a couple hundred then. It all boils down to how good you are. Are you very good at designing? Do you know your (x)HTML and CSS like the back of your hand?
