Marketing Tip 1: Yahoo! Answers sent 200 unique visitors to my blog.

Hi everyone, I tot I would share one of the tested ways to market and get traffic to your website/blog.

I own a proxy blogroll, http://proxyhttps.blogspot.com/ daily I am averaging about 50 unique visitors. I decide to promote it abit by helping others in Yahoo! Answers.

So I search for keywords in Yahoo! Answers. Give some decent answers. So far it have been generating pretty consistent traffic daily for me. Best if your answer is voted Best Answers. Then expect around 300 unique visitors at least.

My advice: Use Yahoo! Answers to promote your website. But dun oversell. You will get banned.

Conversions can be a hit-or-miss on YA.

 

Sure. To get better CTR for my adsense, all the proxies in the blog are linked directly, so is the Adsense ads. The better part of the Adsense ads is that it contains more description, this way users are more likely to click on it if they like what they read. My CTR is at least 4%.

You dont want to post the same site in too many answers or you risk getting your yahoo account banned for spamming

 

Ya... so I notice.. so be sure to post sincere answers on some other questions too.

yup yahoo answer is good .it has been my daily dose of traffic for last 6 months.

 

I use Answers to promote my hubs from hubpages. As long as you include them in the source area it is pretty safe to say you won't get banned.

 

I have been answering questions in YA for awhile and not all of my answers are indexing in G and I have not seen that kind of increased traffic. I do think it is a great strategy for key words.

How much time are you dedicating to answering questions on a daily basis?

 

10-20 mins max. I just do those questions that are Open and recent only. I subscribe to the RSS feed to it. So just those which are added in the last 24hrs I answer. And still selectively too.

Yes yahoo answers help but if you are working on niche related posts . I have seen many affiliate users also promoting their products over there too .

 

I'll give it a shot maybe it will bring me some traffic
