Is it just my personal feeling, or is the world really falling apart? I'm experiencing the following problems since 18 Dec.
    1. Each AdSense click pays too less then ever (now few cents).
    2. The CTR is down by half
    3. The visitors down by half

I'm getting only 1/4 of what I used to earn daily before this date.

    Do you experience same problem?

I've seen adsense clicks paying less over the last 2-3 months, but it seems to be leveling out.
I don't know about the CTR though. I haven't seen a change there.

Why do you think your visitors are down in half? Has your content changed in anyway?

I experience a general slow down in the web traffic and adsense earnings to all my sites but don't know whether it has anything to do with the slowing economy...

No significant changes to affect business on my end other than the little pain cause by the sterling going down.

More likely your individual site is just going to crap. As much as people would like to, you can't blame everything on the economy.

Seriously. Most my traffic comes from Search engines. I did a keyword check and the positions are the same.

The traffic now 1/3 of what used to have 1 week ago. CTR down half.

No, maybe it's not the economy. I wish that's only temporary Christmas event people go out more than using PCs.

If this doesn't go away after new year then I'm broke :(( hichic...

    Does anyone experience same issue?

But after i have optimize my site template and reposition the ads placement,my earning is back to normal.
So,i think its not adsense paying low.

No. I really have noticed no change. This is actually the time when fortunes are made. (says Dillsmack) Stick with it and just concentrate on moving forward.

"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present." ~Babatunde Olatunji

Work on moving forward today and forget everything else.

You've got to be kidding me. Why does everyone blame every shortcoming on the economy nowadays? Look into exploring secular markets/products. Also, adsense should be a small fraction of your gross profit.

Cause it's convinient to just sit back and blame instead of doing a research. Perhaps.

It could be a seasonal thing. A lot of sites see a slump in PVs and earnings during the winter (others during the summer).

Have you been operating your site for over a year? What do your statistics from last year look like?

Check your statistics from last year as latoya said. In winter the traffic to my sities is slowing - it's normal. But it depends what is your niche.

The Recession Means that many MORE people will be searching for ways to make money online...

all those people that were laid off...

all the people looking for additional income...

and all those that still have jobs but are scared they will be laid off...

are all looking for ways to make money.

The are BUYING more carefully and being more spendthrift, because money is tight.

But if they fell comfortable with the purchase they are about to make... there is LOTS of money to be made in a recession!

My traffic has been improving, not declining. I don't use PPC so I don't know about that. I personally haven't noticed too much of a negative impact when it comes to my websites.
