I decided to make an arcade website. I know that they don't earn that much and it is risky site, but being a flash developer (made two games and more to come) I thought it was logic to have a site where I can feature my games and get extra money from in-game ads. Also, my next game will also have an offline (payed) version...so having a website where I can sell it would be very important. Anyway, I would like to have some traffic to the website before I release the game I was talking about. The problem is that I spent almost all my money a new domain, the script for the site and the hosting. What would be the best ideea to market the website now it is at the beginning. I don't expect to have 5000 visitors/day...but about 500-800 would be enough at the start (after I release the game will expect to have more since the online version will be posted on sites like newgrounds, kongregate, etc). Also, please forgive me if I don't respond today. It is really late in my country, but I decided to make this thread before I go to bed and with a bit of luck with the help of you guys, by tomorrow I will have many ideas. Thanks again P.S. for those that are interested, the site is http://flash-play.net
Well you can always do link exchanges. Would you like to exchange links with my site Best Flash Stuff?
The site is new...so I don't think many will like a link exchange with it Also, thanks for your offer, I would love a link exchange with you Will ad your link now.
I'm having trouble loading your site ATM but send me a PM with your desired link text and url. Thanks, Alan
I'd recommend you to submit your website to some popular social bookmarking webistes. It really helped me. I used to get a decent amount of traffic from my site.
My first game was spreadsheet escape (it is on the site). My 2nd game was Duel Adventure (this one is not on the site) and now I am almost ready with a new game. You can view some screenshots of it on my blog: http://sf-zone.net (for this last game please post your comments on the blog...the other ones aren't really that good...but as you can see I am getting better).
