Drupal is a content management system but actually it's more than that. I am a PHP Programmer but for almost three years now I shifted 100% to Drupal. By the way, here are some people using Drupal; Sony, Nasa, Harvard, Firefox, United Nations, Hollywood, Disney, Discovery Channel, NHL, Sourceforge, and a whole lot more. You can check this site for the list of big groups using Drupal - http://buytaert.net/tag/drupal-sites. What do you think?
Well i am also a php programmer but mostly i use Customized database. As comparing to other CMSs drupal is better but the most simple is wordpress. Though i havnt worked on any of them, i still dont know which CMS is better for all types of application.

I remember when I got my first install of Drupal it's really frustrating. I left Drupal for almost a year after that. But when I got to look at the sites that uses Drupal, I was curious. So, I did my personal research and It's amazing. Drupal saved my work over 80%. You've got to try them in your sites. Btw, visit my site www.MyDrupalServices.com. Thanks!
I am totally torn between Drupal and Joomla. I used to mess with it last year but switched over to Joomla. I think its an excellent tool to build rich websites. My only drawback with Drupal was that it did not have a very large online support community.
Joomla is good for simple websites. No doubt about it Drupal is for robust web 2.0 applications. Drupal is good for social network sites, membership sites, ecommerce, video portal sites and anything you can think!
Oooo nice information, didnt know so many other companies are using drupal for their sites. I'm curious though, why dont they go for php or asp.net for customised cms? ._.
It is my first time to know that sourceforge is backup by drupal . Great new ! I know wordpress, drupal, joomla are all among of those top softwares . For me, I use wordpress a lot !
