I sure hope it does. It really pisses me off to seo. Just picture this what google might do is allow users to customize their search results. For example, only search forums, blogs, news sites etc. Also maybe allow a feature to only search for stuff from a certain date. Could be a number of things.

Seo won't die per se but google will bring it to the point where the benefit you get from seo will be little to even put effort into. better off writing content etc

I think, google search is getting saturated. If I search for something of my interest, garbage sites are all that show up on the first 2-3 pages. Whereas, I find yahoo to be giving more relevant results these days. Mind you, I have been a great fan of google.

I hear, they(yahoo) are spending enormous amount of money and efforts in making their search engines better. I hope they do. Otherwise, google will keep doing its own thing, with no competitor in sight.

I expect personalize search will cause some sort of shakeup, and they are going to have to do some serious adjustment at google to make up for it. However, I don't see SEO dying anytime soon, its just becoming more and more of a complicated science and SEOs are going to be forced to be more honest (or innovative) in the future. That's just my guess.

Fascinating. It appears as if they will be applying a bit more human interaction allowing you to kick results off of a results page, if a large amount of people reject the result they may take if off the list of results....

I can't see a way to make it completely based on an algorithm, which means that people that work for Google would be deciding on the matter. That doesn't seem as reliable or "fair"...

the only way I see it is, SEO will die only if Google goes down (which is not possible).

Google has been drifting away from a "machine only" algorithm for years. They have readily admitted they have a team of human reviewers who influence rankings. This just means that scammers will get weeded out, and those of us with real sites have a better chance at a decent ranking.

The only reason why Google could go don't is that there would be another massive SE

If you have good content on your site that is Google friendly you have nothing to worry about. Google is about giving the most relevant and quality content to the user and personlised search is the next step. SEO will never die as there will always be a need to improve the content, the readability of the content and the offsite content. ... Content is king!

As Long as there is an algorithm(Search Engine) there will always be an anti-algorithm(SEO)
