Hi there guys Im not going to mention figures but my CTR has doubled now due to my new template change. Should I notify adsense about why my ctr has gone up or should i just not say anything. Thanks HydroJohn

It can't hurt to do so ... I probably would myself, although I am not sure about others. How long have you noticed this new trend? If it is a temporary fluctuation perhaps you shouldn't take any action.

No need. I always tweak templates to get higher earnings. It's not like changing your web design is criminal.

No need to contact them if you have natural traffic.

if it is legit clicks and you dont smell anything fishy, then you dont need to contact them. this is why it is always recommended that publishers play with templates and adsense positioning to get their CTR increased. well done!

Yes indeed, congrats, but still, Google absolutely notices large variations.

Have you gone from something like 10% CTR to 20% or are we talking from 1% to 2% ???

If more than 25% you should be worried.

If your CTR does not exceed 1%, nothing to worry. If your CTR exceeds 50%, you are dead meat...your account will be disabled soon. You will soon receive Google's email of death.

Thats your decision, if you feel that there is a possibility that your account will be banned, then by all means contact them, it won't hurt to do so, and it will reassure yourself.

@HydroJohn unless you have coverage in a national newspaper or a site like CNN is linking in to you causing a massive influx of traffic, there is no reason to notify Google because of an increase in CTR as long as that traffic is legitimate. You are worrying about nothing and to be honest, wasting their time by notifying them. That said, do what you feel comfortable with.

Gimme the template and let me take the risk. I'll notify you if google banned my account. :D

No worries as long as your traffic is legit and clicks are natural.
