    wow, nice read...

Interesting marketting scheme. I actually fell for one of these...I pressed the button and it posted a message to all my friends...but that was a month ago, and from the looks of it, the feature has been disabled.

yea, generating hits like these, would seem to go against Adsense TOS...and probably YPN as well.

Myspace disabled it-and for good reason since it is just spam.

I doubt I'll continue with the bulletin advertising once I implement YPN. I don't want it to jeopardize my yahoo account with Whatever the problem was before.

if you market correctly you should have no problem with adsense or YPN for that matter ... I suspect that if you send traffic to site A with no adsense ads, which is legit site with legit content which has link to site B which is your adsense site it will probably work.

As long as you aren't redirecting the traffic yourself and the user's click to site B on their own it should be ok.

it is better to use this technique to market sites that have no ad network. when you have a steady stream of visitors, then you put ads in.

Were you doing one of those bogus programs? Like repost this bulletin for a MySpace tracker - that does nothing but repost the bulletin and drive traffic to your site? It seems to me that if you're offering a legit service Google shouldn't care. I could see how constantly promoting your site via bulletins would be considered spam but allowing your users to promote a legit service with bulletins isn't a problem in my mind. Little different from a "refer a friend" thing.

So can someone please let me know what the final working code is and the steps I have to take to submit it (e.g go to post bulleting, copy paste into the body and change things in the code) I'm not using any adsense on my site so I'm not worried about getting banned. I want to try it out and see if it works.

I would really appreciate it as I've gone through the whole thread and I'm not sure what code to use!

Stop being so lazy and figure out things for yourself. if you want to be a spammer atleast do it yourself.

If it's not against TOS, then G wont ban you.. And just because the visitors come from Myspace does not make them invalid..

    Anyone else know?
