This is a very subjective question ;)
Best differs for different people and context. For me, I can safely say that FF is the number one choice browser for me. Maybe Google Chrome is somewhere gathering momentum at the back of my mind, but only time will tell. ;)

BEST? Once again, it depends on different perspectives. A poll would have sufficed here, I guess :)

I'd used IE, Netscape, and Opera before I knew Firefox. I think FF is so user friendly and safer than other browser I've used.

I think Opera is better than Firefox, but Firefox has one important feature that I find myself needing all time ... the View Selection Source on right click option. Opera may have this too, but I haven't found it yet.

Opera is faster than Firefox, but Firefox is more popular for addons ( devs might find it useful for Firebug ). Anything is better than IE.

When using my linux computer, I prefer to use Epiphany only because it is the bare bones basic browser and FAST, I mean really fast. It doesn't offer many addon features, but I don't find the need for them too often.

Well less addons = more speed obviously. Thats why i like opera since its built in with some key ones.

I use Opera as my primary browser and FF for the plugins. e.g. PR toolbar.

Opera is faster and has a better password feature.

It's the best in my opinion because it seems to be the most secure... Chrome is second because it's the fastest.

On a webmaster forum, most people are likely to say FF.

It used to crash a lot previously- still does on occasions now.

But I've got used to it, and other browsers don't seem to give the same amount of satisfaction.

Firefox is far way better than IE . It is faster ( chrome is little faster now and its rule will be over by FF3.1 release ) and customizable with addons . Start using Firefox and you may not use any other browser in Future .

It is there too, in the context menu on right click option. Or try ctrl+F3, it has been there for a long time...

I would agree that firefox is the best, although chrome was made by mozzilla (hired by google), and its javascript engine is 8x faster then anything out there... but ff is the most customizable ;)

No matter what anyone here believes is the fastest, or the best, or has the most plugins etc., the FACT of the matter still remains; you better make sure your markup is IE compliant. Your average everyday Joe just uses IE to get to where and what he/she needs.

FireFox is good. However, their new FF3 is a bit on the clunky side. The biggest reason I switched from Explore to FF is because of the OutLook Express email associated with Explorer.

I know I could have any email platform out there but the natural tendency when using MS Explore is to use their email as well. That's what I did. No really big problem for a long time. But, along came MS Vista.

Outlook Express no longer worked. MS's response; Hummmmm

I fixed it tho. I now use FF and Thunderbird for the email. Works for me. :D
