Search Engine Optimization, Article Marketing and Social Marketing are the most recommended ways to get free targeted traffic. However all have their own little secrets. What do you mean?? Did you build that list or rent that list? If people dont know you then they will not visit your website. It seems that visitors where not interested on your message. If you have an acne website then try to get advertised on acne websites and not just health websites. If so can the visitors of that website see your message?

SEO of course is the best way. Good way is also to have a good regularly refreshed content. Simply blog attached to your page with content similar to content of main page. There is good to use social bookmarking sites after adding new post to blog.
seo (target long tails kw's for the first couple months and deep link to those pages - not your main url) social bookmarking (quick listing in G, but will fade quick) yahoo answers (go ask a questions and have a buddy answer with your url - instant results and Y listing ; - ) blog comments (long term, free, easy to find) blogroll links (if you have a blog, link out to other relevant sites. G loves this.) video posts (use tubemogul, free and posts to multiple vid sites) articles (i rarely use this anymore except as scripts for my vids - vids pull way better) directories (revisting this again myself, but also try creating a free widget and submit to software dir) To get more traffic to your videos, treat the like your sites...they need to be promoted as well. So do all of the above for your main video acocounts to start creating a silo, or path for G to follow. Enjoy.

I have tried moreviews.net due to their apparent 'reliable' reputation only to be pretty disappointed when they didn't provide the service I ordered within 90 days. When I tried to get a refund for this, they offered me $50 to 'apologise' (I had spent $200) and said they couldn't pay me the rest of the refund. Am still waiting to see if these guys live up to their 'honest and reliable' reputation and give me the rest of the refund as they guarantee on their website. I would have no problem if they did what they said they would ('We guarantee 100% of our service or your money back.') Be careful.

I've tried social bookmarking, blog commenting and forum posting and those have brought me some traffic, but not a lot. I'm fairly convinced my SEO needs to be a whole lot better and I need to build up a lot more backlinks than I already have - trouble is this also coincides with a complete site redesign and expansion that I have planned, so I'm left wondering where the hell I should start!
Pretty much all the techniques described here can be done. The more presence your site has on the web, the more people will see it, and the more business you'll drum up. However, it's a long and never ending process and you need to stick at it. Remember, with each article you post, each new link you build, each new video posted (etc) you're building the value of your site.
Submit to business directory sites. Use classifieds. Use social bookmark. directory submissions etc. Check out the link in my sig for this. These are but some of the ideas.
