Will my site's SE rankings be affected if I change Hosts?

I'm thinking of moving to another host. Will my sites' SE rankings be affected if I changed hosts? I plan to move all files, etc. Then just switch DNS to new host. Will this work?

If you are moving from US to UK, your ranking might be affected for a long term as well.

unless you are GEO targeting or moving host from one country to another, your ranking should not change

I agree. I have switched host before and nothing was affected. It is when you switch to other countries that it could affect you. Even then, it does not always happen. Just do not leave too much time in between, try to do it all with in a couple of hours or it could have some effects if Google bot hits you during a down time.

Nothing will be affected. I have changes hosts a dozen time in a dozen years and I there is no change. However, many other factors may affect your site if your move is not clean. Check for broken links etc after the move is complete.

I agree. Unless your are changing the country of your hosting company, have broken links or geo targeting, it should not have any negative impact.

I have moved a couple of site and it hasn't affected my rankings because it has nothing to do with your host but only your ranks.

I don't think so because you aren't going to loose some back links by doing so.

No chance of loosing anything from Google by changing the host and also google not giving instantly traffic or rank, taking long time to monitize and giving some to the site.

It may seem strange but some users do report about drops in rankings after a server change...

I still believe that it happens due to different reasons (and not because of the server change) but better keep your eyes open and good luck!

I dont think it will affect your se rankings if you do it fast, I did 2 months ago and there were no drop on my rankings the faster you do it the better cuz crawlers can come in at any time
