We have another 90 years before this century is done - I will reserve judgment until then.

I don't know about picture of the century, but it's still a really nice picture. I don't know about that guy, but I would've been terrified if I saw that whale right in front of me (IT'S HUGE!).

It's an awesome picture alright:cool: but I think it's touched up.
That water is way to clear and for all the aqua physics in the
universe there's noway that diver could stand upright like that
without bulky visible equipment present. Natgeo know how to
pull great natural visuals though, hats of to them!:D

Just because it's national goegraphic doesn't mean it isn't altered/"photoshopped".

    Regardless, it's a stunning photo.

You can buy a print signed buy the photographer here:
    http://www.brianskerry.com/prints.html

$30 incl shipping to the US, or $40 shipped anywhere. Not a bad deal. I'd be tempted if it didn't have that stupid "First Encounter" text on it.

    Great photograph.

Very nice indeed but I think it was photoshopped. The man seems like walking on the sand. That is hard to believe.

Its very scary but still very amazing. It shows how small a "Human being" is.

I don't think we can call this picture a "Picture of the century" because to cover 100 years a picture needs lots of more things.
