Any change in templates required ? OR new functions/codes for additional functionality ? Because how are comments reply handeled now ?

I've upgraded last night, it looks pretty decent. The only bad news is that Popularity Contest created a critical error after trying to activate.

My Fantastico panel only shows older version?

 

It used to give me error in previous versions also.

 

Good reason to keep plugin use to a minimum, so many that dont keep up with the upgrades.

Only recently upgraded but will upgrade to 2.7 in few days i like to wait.

 

They'll take a while to show the latest version.

Had a look at 2.7, and as of now, I don't have anything bad to say about the admin interface.

I can't get the 2 or more links in a comment leads to moderation to work.

Do you enter 2 or 02. Right now I have it set at nothing cause my commenters love to leave links.
And is there any way you can allow commenters to html pictures for them to show in the comment box without making them admins. No plugin if possible

 

I just updated my wordpress to 2.7 and it worked flawlessly. I absolutely love the new layout and now I can upgrade by just pushing a button on 2.7. Check out my blog post on my thoughts on the upgrade to Wordpress 2.7

 

In general, it's best to deactivate all your plugins before upgrading any version of WordPress to another one. Especially new big releases that might have a number of code/ database / file changes made to it. That, and the fact that after they release newer bigger releases, they'll most likely need to make a new "compatible plugin /theme list" for it. Which would hold only the plugins that will work for that version of WordPress.

Fantastico "upgrades" won't be updated right away, as soon as a newer version of WordPress is released. Sometimes it takes a while for it to be reflected in the CPANEL / Control Panel areas.

 

I will wait also, maybe a bit longer until 2.7.1 when they fix the small launch bugs that will be discovered in the next days, and plugins authors update all their plugins.

Wow! Wordpress 2.7 is so sweet.. She's a Betty.

I love the way everything is right at your fingertips and is just a one click process now to do things..

That used to drive me mad in the older panel how we had to click five times and through page loads just to get to a post editor.

This is a major improvement in the right direction.. I absolutely dig the hell out of it.

My flash uploader even works again. Christmas came early this year.. for me.

The WP development team has done some real nice stuff on this.

The uploader is something new I like too. Especially the 'Upload from URL' feature, saves so much time.

 

Yes it does.. and so do a few other great things too.. Like the post comments from inside the dashboard now and how about that QuickPress post box too right there in the dashboard?

I am totally impressed and definitely liking this. I will be upgrading my others blogs real soon... If I can get away from playing with this first one I did long enough? LOL

The upgrade went real well for me, on this first site I did... just had one plugin issue is all with older simple tags plugin.. It was very easily corrected, just had to press the update plugin button is all..

So nice.. gotta love it.
