$315 for new website design

i am opening a one week contest to have my website redesigned.
Even at the end of the week i decide that i dont like any designs i will stll pay the winner and when i close the thread after 7 days i will announce the winner at the bottom so everyone knows.

For the new year i wish to have this completely redesigned to make it look more attractive.

There is no limit, i want people to go wild with their designs. but as i am very busy i will not be assisting or updating anyone on what improvements they can make to win the prize.
original design without hints from me wins the prize.

i will not be replying to any private messages concerning this contest as i wish it to be fair and open contest. so the people that have sent me private messages im sorry but i will not be replying to them and any images sent to me in private messages i will not be commenting on them, please show the images within thread otherwise do not show at all as it is not fair on the rest of the people taking part, im sorry but i believe in fairness and the best person should win.
and also i placed this contest yesterday 11th of december so you have until 18th of december. also remember the design should be customisable psd so it can be added to all the pages.

neilparnham that is a good design especially considering it is the first one to be submitted on this thread,
Guys remember go wild with your designs im looking for originality. The website has plenty of visitors over 100 a day, so im looking for something that will make the visitor into a customer.To give you ideas look at the competition and also the different parts of the existing site and how it functions. good luck everyone.

nelparham i cant make any suggestions to your design as that would seem to be favouring you over other people but what i can say is be original and look at the competition to get a good idea.

Not trying to have a go or tell you how to run your own contest, but wouldn't it be best to offer feedback on all designs? This way, not only does it help designers know what you like, but also, at the end of the contest, you'll have an entry that is perfect for you.

 

kiteguy123 i understand what you are trying to say and you have a point BUT this is a contest and if i try and tell one person how he or she can make changes that means i am favouring that particular person and the whole point of a contest is to be fair to everyone and not choose one person over another otherwise no point of having a contest in the first place is there.

 

Yes, but if you give advice to all entrants, then you won't be favouring anyone because you'll be treating all the entrants equally. Again, not trying to offend or tell you how to run your contest, but if you provide detailed feedback, designers will be happier and you'll end up getting a better design

i want the designers to be original, and see what they can come up with, plus in a contest u dont give feedback its best person wins well from what i know of contests up north in lancashire anyway
