It has been a month and the website hasn't been crawled by Googlebot yet?

    Hello everybody,

I'm witnessing a really weird thing here. First of all the website I'm talking about is 4months old new domain, PR1, and I'm still keep the SEO work on it.
Unfortunately the website hasn't been crawled by Googlebot since November,15. This makes a month. Before Nov 15, the website has been regularly crawled every week or at most every 10 days.

I'm concerning about a bad situation, what is the reason? The Googlebot had last access to the website one month ago and seemingly the Googlebot forgets the website I think?!

Bytheway I lost my SERPs for a few popular competitive keywords. I was between 5-7 a month ago now I'm between 13-19.

I want to know what could be the reason(s).
    Thanks.

Are you still creating new content to it? Pinging the new content?

Keep updating the site with content, get a few good quality backlinks, add a sitemap...

It has already a sitemap since the beginning. And the website is updated at least once a week. I think I made 4 or 5 big updates within a month but still Googlebot hasn't come to this website for a month.

I ping the website after some updates, I'm getting good links from socialbookmarking sites, directories, article sites, and so on. Everything seems okay as it is supposed to be. But there is a really weird thing here. Googlebot doesn't stop by the website anymore for a month.

Maybe it's a Geo glitch, cause i don't see more users talking about this issue. Or a robots.txt misconfiguration? .Htaccess misconfiguration? Wrong meta tags? Check it all mate!

You should update your content and wait to check the results, also you should try out to get more backlinks.

    that sucks

I think I should wait for at least two weeks more which is 2009 :p

I don't think this is about robots.txt or meta tags because they are all okay. I can't find a logical reason why this is happening to this website that's why I open a thread here. Thanks for your replies anyway!

If nothing changes, I'll post a reply here again.

It happens when you make changes to title or metatags. Crawling and indexing takes some time to display your website in the rankings.

You can check the position of your website for certain keywords at this position finder to see where you currently stand.

Use Socialmarker.com it will be good for SEO, and maybe googlebot even comes to visit your site again :)
