What is considered allot of traffic for a blog? My blog is in it's 2nd month and I had right around 3000 visitors last month. What kind of numbers should I targeting to get to? I know the more the merrier but I am looking for some goals to set for myself. Is 10k visitors a month respectable?
Traffic id always good for any site as much traffic which you get is good but 10k PM is also very good amount. and in your point where your blog in only 2nd old is very very good.
First, it depend on the nicke of your blog . Second, it is a trend to count the subscribers to determinate popularity rather than traffic only .
For my last blog (on blogspot subdomain) I have around 20k per month. Of course, that depends on your blog niche. But I think that quality content and theme would give you better and better rankings!
I would certainly have an opt-in form on the blog to build a list - that way you can get them to keep coming back... Dave.
You can have a million visitors to your site and not get a single sale.It all comes down to the traffic quality. If you can get people to your site that have an interest in what you have to offer a smaller amount of traffic will get you sales and sign ups for your newsletter.Usually 500 targeted visitors per day helps to pay the bills.
Thanks for the feedback. I started my blog mid Oct. At the end of Dec I have 2800+ total visitors. I first goal was to break 3000+ visitors then shoot for 10k. I just want to drive more traffic which should equal more clicks which hopefully leads to more sign ups.
It dpends, if you will get 100 unique visitors and 100 will convert into buyers it will always be bether then 1000 unique visitors that will only convert into 1 sale.
I don't look at how many people come to my site/blog but how many buy or leave their contact data. I have site that has only got about 2k of traffic over the 3 months. but I've had over 300 leads and less then 10 have opt-out. I see people looking at traffic and not he results. Yes you have to have traffic but its all about the results...
It all depends on conversions. If you get 1 sale for every 100 visitors, your 3000 will get you one sale per day. However, if you get 1 sale per 500, you'll need that 10,000 hits per month. It's all about conversions.
It also depends on how much you make per sale, and how much your brand and website is kept in the visitors' minds (for long-term gain).
This question is extremely vague.. 1000 extremely targeted and returning visitors would be priceless compared to 100,000,000 visitors who get paid half a cent to view your page for 5 seconds. If your 3k visitors, are returning and you can see trends such as time stayed on site, how deep their visit was, time spent on each article, number of comments and such and if these are acceptable by your standards and meet your expectations, then you have "alot of traffic" It's all in you buddy, more you do the more you get! there isn't a cap on how much traffic you can (and inevitably) should get
