What is the best and cheapest credit card processor?

I need a way to accept the payments directly from the customers via the credit card. what can be the best solution?
Currently i am using the paypal, but i think many of my customers don't have a Paypal account. Is there any other alternative which makes the payment easier for customers?

I will prefer to use 2CO as a CC processor.

 

I'm using 2CO their services are good, but their transaction fee is very high 5.5% + 0.49$ per one transaction. I don't like to recommend it to a person who looks for a cheap credit card processor. I saw recently swreg offers some economical package, but don't know how about their services. If you have a big sale the best idea is to get some bank payment gateway. I use a Bank payment gateway for one of my Ecommerce sites their transaction fee is only 3%. If you search you'll find more economical bank payment gateway packages from your country.

 

What country are you located in? Depending on the country, there are likely much cheaper processors than 2checkout.

 

hey, how long have you been using 2co? at first i have a very good experience with this company when it comes to payment. But after about 6 months, payments started to get delayed. One of the payments released (according to them) last November 13, '08 is still not deposited to my bank up to now.

Payments are always delayed by 1 or 2 weeks.
