I already have accounts at BlueHost and HostGator - quite fine

I must take another hosting service

Do you have good or bad experiences with:

    Midphase: http://www.midphase.com

    Site5: http://www.site5.com

    Siteground: http://www.siteground.com

    Lunarpages: http://www.lunarpages.com

    HostIcan: http://www.hostican.com

I guess they are overselling. No problem

I need to set up many small websites (mostly affiliate marketing custom landing pages) + many sub-domains

    Which one would you recommend?

    Many thanks for your input

    ;)

I recommend you going with non overseller hosts.

and oh you added hostican later, it is simply worse than anyone.

The major pproblem with the hosts you mentioned is that they have very high restrictions on cpu usage as they host thousands of clients on the same server.

If you need reliable hosting you should not go for oversellers. Find a host that will be reliable and does not oversell.

Yes and all those hosts at the url you mentioned there are oversellers. They pay money to get their name listed there (a kind of advertisement).

    it depends on your needs...

If you want to host simple static pages any host will probably be good for you.

I would choose Lunarpages out of the hosts you listed. I have been with them for about 20 months now. At one point I had 14 sites on my shared plan with no issues (2 WP, 2 Joomla, 1 phpBB, 5 phpLinkDirectory, 1 Pligg and 3 static html sites).

I have hosting with Lunarpages and From my Experiance i can say they provide quality hosting and good support . The only thing i can point as a draw back is their Cpanel version . they still provide the old one. hopefully they will get the new version soon :D

Thank you for your input guys ;)

(I have to say that HostGator is quite fine too - and support is helpful - but I want an alternative solution)

I have hosted with siteground in the past before moving to a dedicated server with Host Gator - But Site Ground was pretty good, the support was quick and there overall server speed, service and rates were pretty decent.

They are a pretty ethical Web Hosting company so Im sure you would be a happy customer over there. They also have a ton of tutorials for most Open Source applications.

Host Gator is another good option too but you did not mention that :D

Hope you find the perfect host :)
