Do you have a daily marketing schedule?

Having a schedule makes things a lot easier and you are more effective when you have everything written down. You will do your daily work much faster when you are not surfing on useless sites or playing games online.

This is the schedule that I follow.I have tried every single marketing method there is and trough trial and error I have developed this, it works for me.

Monday: A new blog post, 10 relevant/useful comments on blogs, and 10 relevant/useful forum posts.

Tuesday: Social media marketing, going out to blogs and look for interesting posts to send to social sites using socialmarker.

Wednesday: A new blog post, 10 comments on blogs, and 10 forum posts.

Thursday: Research day, researching for hot topics to write about.10 comments on blogs and 10 forum posts.

Friday: A new blog post, 10 comments on blogs and 10 forum posts.

Saturday and Sunday: I work if I feel like working.

What kind of schedule do you have?

Schedule is essential. It allows you to stay atop of daily stress. Many newbies don't realize that chaotic surfing and doing ten things simultaneously is not marketing.

Yes and no. There are only a few days a week that I release a post or do certain things on certain days. It is only a guideline for myself. If I get bored or stray I can ask myself...'What could I be doing right now?'

Looks like some pretty good schedules here. Here is mine briefly:

    1) Write a new post
    2) Post it to Twitter
    3) Post on DP, and other niche related forums
    4) Comment on blogs

I am still building my social networking profiles, so i don't really use them yet.

Yeah.... I need a schedule.... sigh

I have just started work again regularly after coming back from a pretty deep emotional crisis and my main goal for the next few weeks is simply to spend 4 to 5 hours a day regularly in front of a computer. I am busy researching niche markets and going through some training materials.

    regards

nikhilg you will be glad that you taking the time to research... most people don't spend enough time one this part of the plan. I think this may be on of the key facts in making it work or not. Good luck and welcome back...

Can I ask a question regarding your Tuesday schedule?

Social Bookmarking is VERY new to me, especially as a marketing method. I've used Social Marker to post some of my OWN sites, but can I ask you how does it help your business to "find interesting posts to send to social sites?"

    I'm really curious. Thanks.

I have a regular schedule but it's very very flexible. Some days I just write articles and nothing else. Depends on how I feel really.

Schedule...whats a schedule? I get up fire up the coffee feeds the furry pets and get to work. Marketing is a learning experience. in the beginning it takes a lot of nonstop work that eventually will taper down to a schedule.
What I am learning is invaluable and will last a lifetime....and eventually create the business desired. Karma is a good thing if you give you will receive.

If you post only your own sites you will most likely get banned.By posting others content they will most likely do the same for you.Social sites are for sharing good information, not self promotion.

I don't have a schedule because I hate doing the same thing more than 3 times. If it is something that becomes a regular occurrence in my business I create a screen cam of myself doing it, and pay somebody else to do it instead.

    Frees up my time.

My daily routine is - nothing.

Before nothing, I have spent the last 19 months posting 319 videos on youtube. These videos get a total combined views of between 10,000 - 15,000 daily. This provides my site with a steady stream of traffic. Even if I never publish another video, or nothing else to ever promote my site, the foundation has been set.

About a year ago, after developing about a dozen websites, I realized that if I didn't setup a schedule I'd go crazy. Thankfully I did setup a schedule, using online tools like Google Docs to keep info together, and arguably it kept me sane.

My work schedule is far too long to list here, especially the detail, but it's important for everyone serious about making money online to take the time to do one. My profits soared and my blood pressure dropped after doing one(schedule).

    Thanks for sharing.

I have never had a schedule, and will probably never have one, but I know that I should.

All I do is try to have as much fun as possible, that's my goal, and at the end of the day, I ask myself if I had a lot of fun today... if my answer is no, I am trying to find out how to have more fun the next day :)

Sometimes I write blog posts, post to DP, write comments, keep writing on my novel (I have been writing on it for a long time). Some days I don't do much at all, just keep reading books and watching movies.

I hate any schedule. I have a general plan what things I have to do during one month and one year. A daily schedule will be tired me fast. I can't be as robot.

I write a weekly schedule on a whiteboard. That covers my marketing activities, development tasks and everything else.

The task list grows and gets shuffled around throughout the week, so I'm hardly strict, but it means I never have to waste time finding something to do.

I have a list of things to do in a week but I can never pick one day to do them. If I'm in a mood to do something I have to do that task or I just sit there pulling hairs.

Having a set schedule for blogs would be better for getting consistent returning visitors. The way I write though is based purely on what pops in my head and what I go with from there. Maybe I'll give it another whirl.
