Just received an interesting email from Google.

How is this going to affect parking services like Parked.com?

    Your thoughts?

    Cheers

That sounds excellent. If we are able to make our own parked pages, then the middlemen such as Sedo, etc - will really be in trouble. The parking companies have screwed us for long enough - this might be a chance to reverse the situation and screw them right back.

Not in my account yet, but thanks for sharing the info tattoos. :)

This is going to hit parking providers in the wallet, and I can't wait to start moving my domains. :D I should easily see a 10%-20% increase in revenue...

    excellent!

why not? type-in domain traffic is "fairly to very targeted."

GREAT NEWS - time to start an en masse domain move!!

I didn't think AdSense for Domains was anything new. Really though, development is still your best option.

It depends on the domains in deciding whether development is the best option or even if time permits to develop them. I have some domains 10+ years old that get 99.9% type in traffic with CTR's that exceed 70% some days. It some good side cash for doing nothing and will be great to boost my income from these domains by 10-20%. :D

Of course domains that get no traffic will not benefit much. Regardless, this is the best news I have heard all month!

BTW Adsense for domains is not *new* to domain parking companies. Adsense being allowed on an individuals account for parked domains is new.

If you have the time and resources, development is ALWAYS the best option. Why be happy with existing type-in traffic when you can INCREASE your traffic and revenue.

Time and resources are the variable and across hundreds of domains its just not possible. Besides, some of my domains are in niches that are of absolutely no interest to me other then the type in traffic they produce. Rather then making countless sites and promoting them, I'd much rather let the domains earn revenue parked while I focuse on things I enjoy doing.

Developed domains tend to receive fewer domain purchase offers. Sooner or later I will sell these domains when offers come by that are reasonable. When that happens the new owners can develop fresh sites/brands for themselves.

But with interest and resources developed domains can earn much more. It all depends on each persons goals and interests in determining if they want to develop the domains or not.

Valid points. But I'm talking about domains where development makes sense.

Just checked into my adsense account, and the option to start adsense for domain parking is there.

I don't know about you guys, but this is huge.
