Google's Page Rank Discussion Thread

I have recently learned/read (I can't recall where) that big G is going to implement small changes and review results constantly... so everyone should expect fluctuations in PR as well as SERP's regardless of your 'activities'. They have too much to lose by rocking the boat drastically, but you can bet that whatever they do, it'll be to keep their bottom line growing.

Moral of the story (as well as echoing another member's sentiment) is to relax and not worry too much about daily fluctuations - there are other more important tasks to tend to if you think about it. Also don't put all your faith/eggs in the G-basket... Yahoo and others still carry a lot of weight although they seem as if they are passe at the moment in most peoples eyes.

REMEMBER THIS:
If everyone is chomping to be #1 in G... then that takes the pressure off of getting to the first pages of the others engines... knowing this with which group are you best suited to compete with?

 

PR has dropped on all of my pages to PR0 five days ago!
Today there are still no changes about pr but my
traffic has increased notoriously...

 

Every site I normally check is still exactly the same. How long does the entire PR updating process usually take?

 

yes I got update for one of my site which was PR0 to PR2

and pr is pointless, track yoru traffic aond conversion if you want to watch something

 

Well it doesn't matter to me. When my site went from a 6 to a 3, my position in the SERPs increased dramatically. Why? My sites ACTUAL Google PR IS what matters, not the toolbar PR...this is what so many forget.

 

No changes here...Yet

 

My PR dropped down from 2 to 0

 

My PR just went from 0 to 10 today and we now rank number 1 for every single word in the dictionary.
I also seem to now have the ability to shoot fireballs from my eyes and breath underwater.
Weird right?

 

Serps are updating right now though.

no changes for me. I like the old days better when I had PR 6 sites. Now they are PR3, PR4, PR5, but no 6!

this is so stupid. when i check one of my blogs. suddenly it dropped from PR4-PR2. but i dont think this is major update. google is getting crazy at the moment.
