Hi there people, I have been thinking of selling my blogspot blogs. I am beging to loose interest in them, so I have been left thinking i would like to sell it and get a little bit of money, but!!! I have read the 'tos' of blogger and it states: How can I contact Google to ask if they are able to give me the permission to sell my blogs? Many thanks And if anyone has sucesfully contacted them and got permission advice would be nice Thanks
You will hardly to get an answer from them if you ask. Most people would sell their blogspot blogs without even asking Google permission. Other people redirect their blogspot visitors to their new site and domain name.
I kinda doubt they will give you permission. If they were to hand out written permission to everyone who asks, this statement would be pointless in the tos. If it were me, I would probably just go ahead and sell, ignoring their tos. I think the worst that could happen is that they would close your blogs. They would likely never find out about the sale though. Your other option is to scale back how much time you put into these blogs. Change your posting frequency to once a week or whatever you can manage. In time these blogs may build up traffic and revenue. As it builds up more, you may get some interest back. You could even pay someone to make those weekly posts for you.
Blogger blogs? Do you really need their permission to sell this (though it is in the TOS) just give the person buying it the login details and password (as long as you mind loosing the gmail associated with it. As long as it is a blogspot blog mate you can sell the buhaha without talking to those G guys
Google owns you soul, I doubt they actually ment in selling blog's unless you turned your blogspot into a multi million dollar company and contacted them with your premium account they'd give you.. I think its just filler...
I never sell any blogspot blog before but I know they have a multi-user control panel. I think you can take payment from the buyer and transfer ownership by adding him/her as another admin in the control panel page. It's that simple.
It is already written in their TOS so they aren't going to give you permission on doing that. Chances are that they aren't going to give you any answer so you should forget about it.
Im really unhappy selling them witouh permission because the blogs are making me around $100 per month, so getting them deleted would be a kick in the teeth! Could somebody provide me a email address for blogger? Thanks HydroJohn
look, I believe its pretty simple. When you say that you would like to sell your blogspot, you are not selling anything, that belongs to google, your not selling the service, or the script, you are just selling the content that you wrote and is still yours, so you can sell it anytime, and you also probably sell the links and other stuff that you have on the blogspot, so I believe they can not stop you from selling it...

Emailing google will get you a no answer I am sure. Why not just sell it, just don't leave the domain out in the open for spiders/spys to find? Or import it all to wordpress and go that route.

In fact being observant usually will serve you well in life. As they say C sharp or B flat To the OP - The service in the TOS that is discussed, is the blogger service which you cannot sell. In otherwords you cannot sell try to sell the blogspot services as your own... However your blogspot blogs are yours to do with what you like. Hope it helps
Thats because there in my signature So I can sell them in private and run the risk of getting them shut down or keep them and earn revenue from them? I think ill just keep them and earn the revenue i would never go against the google tos its just not worth it!
