WTB: Webmaster Forums ($100K budget)

    Will pay $10K t $100K per site.

That's serious money and my client is looking for a serious site. Preference will be for size of community, quantity and quality of posts, and length of continuous time online. Revenue etc will be taken into consideration too.

Please do not PM or post about forums that

    - have less than a hundred thousand posts
    - have been online for less than a year
    - have dynamic URLs (session IDs etc) or
    - have predominantly web design based discussions

The client is not explaining reasons behind the criteria and I have no intention of explaining to the client that dynamic URLs should be in his list. Please read the list again as I will ignore all PMs offering sites that don't meet those criteria. No, worse, I'll delete your PM while swearing about illiterate bozos :)

All transactions will be via escrow.com only and you will pay 50% of escrow fees.

NDAs, proof of funds, LoI, references etc all available to the right sellers - to reassure you that my client not only has a keen interest in acquiring your site but also has liquid funds.

If you are sending me a PM please do mark it "Webmaster forum" in the subject as I have several other WTB threads and there could be some confusion.

As I said, revenue will be taken into account but that is in determining price/value. But, to answer PM questions, the site does not need to be earning money.

www.siteusell.com is not exactly in the criteria but has an innovative concept which we pioneered.

And hopefully that'll be the last case of someone who can't be bothered to read the opening post properly!

In reply to PM questions I'd like to elaborate on what type of "webmaster forums" would be acceptable.

Any forum where the userbase is predominantly of webmasters is fine. (The only exception is those forums where the discussion is mostly about web design - as users may be more interested in design than webmastering). The idea is this: my client is looking to work with an existing and established community of webmasters and he doesn't have time to build that community himself.

With that kind of budget it would be just as easy to start one, buy a good domain, hire some posters for a few months and spend the rest on promotion.

MattUK, it's me that this client relies on for advice, not you, and I've advised him to buy an established forum. If you don't mind, of course!

Anyone else who actually has a site to offer (rather than "advice")?

You may be a big player on DP with your transactions and throwing money around, but get your head out your arse and learn some manners regards others posts.

lol, I agree to that, Amilo. This is like the 3rd thread that this "bigshot" starts bragging about how much money he has and what a big player he is.

Ah, when you get literate have another look at who's actually forking out the money to buy this site.

The day you acquire enough manners to keep your irrelevant posts out of threads that specifically request it.... I'll take my first manners class from you.

While the trolls keep bumping this thread anyone looking to sell their webmaster forum as per my original post can feel free to contact me by PM. The budget is still there and, as I said, my client is happy to prove he's genuine and that the funds are available.

Are you offering any commission? I had a client a few months back that had something that would fit what you are looking for but for $100k that would not leave much room from me to charge him a commission so if you (your client) is willing to pay our compaines commission I can put you in touch with him.

Every PM offering a site as described in the OP will get a reply. Skribblez, 2K posts is 98,000 posts short of what I asked for. My OP explains what I do with those PMs :)

    bmac, you have a PM.
